my father used to fill in that line with 'a witches appendage'. We are there.  I whine about this every winter and last winter the power went off for a day and we had this fancy dancy generator we had never put to work. We sure did that day.  So, here we are again.  It is -30C with wind, going down to -36C tonight and then by the end of this next week it is supposed to be back up to 0C. Bizarre.

The horses are all tucked in and warm - new hay arrived yesterday - so the cupboards are full, the waterers are functioning and straw is deep - what more do you need right?

Dariska (dressage type) a coming 2 yr old filly - stunning filly - by Rhodium,

Coleman (dressage type) a coming 3 yr old gelding - stunning gelding - by Obelisk,

Cashew (dressage type) a coming 3 yr old filly by Johnson

Bindigo (hunter/jumper) a coming 4 yr old - 6 weeks under saddle gelding by Indoctro,

Rosinaa (jumper) a 12 yr old Elite mare - can be ridden or bred (jumper lines) 

and that is all we have left.  I started the downsizing process a few years ago - and it has coincided with the downsizing of the economy, so it has been a challenge.  I am somewhat negotiable on all of the horses - wonderful homes are my first priority. I can assist with transport arrangements.
