June 30, 2006 - Keuring, breeding and life on the farm

The Alberta Keuring date is September 12, 2006 and will be in Tofield, Alberta (home of the young girl that placed 2nd in the N American Spelling Bee!!). We are planning on taking ALL the foals. Not sure how, but we will call in the troops (with horse trailers) to get us all there. The site is actually about 80 kms away which is truly exciting for us. Close by Alberta standards.
Breeding is a bit slow this year. We will check Poska on Sunday and Lady W is on strike. She has a huge 50mm follicle but is total denial about being in heat. She tries to bite poor Rebel. Think we will take a pass on this cycle and hope for some raging hormones on the next one. Where are those rages when you need them?
The foals are doing so well. Growing, playing and a force to be reckoned with. There is footage from this morning on Beda, Bentley and Beasinaa. Finally some good footage of Bea. Bindigo was busy with his mom - so didn't make the photo shoot....
